Abstract
This study investigates how CSR factors—responsibility towards consumers, the environment, and the community—affect consumer buying behavior in the Malaysian cosmetic industry. Carroll’s Pyramid of CSR served as the theoretical foundation, and a survey of 384 respondents from Klang Valley was conducted, with data analyzed using the SPSS software. The findings demonstrate that all three CSR elements have a positive influence on consumer buying behavior. Responsibility towards consumers builds trust and credibility, leading to increased purchases. Environmental responsibility, such as sustainable practices and reducing carbon footprints, aligns with consumers' ethical values, fostering loyalty and repeat purchases. Community initiatives create emotional connections with consumers, promoting brand advocacy and long-term support. The study provides practical and theoretical insights, underscoring the importance of integrating CSR into business strategies. Future researchshouldexplore broader geographic areas, anduse longitudinalapproaches to capture ever-evolving consumer behaviors.
