Project Details

Description

Since early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the need for resilient and viable global supply chains amidst operational challenges, geopolitical tensions, and economic fluctuations. Companies that redesign their supply chains to endure long-term disruptions enhance their survivability. In this era of rapid technological evolution, integrating digital technologies like big data analytics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and blockchain is crucial for adapting to the global market dynamics. Despite the recognized potential of digital technologies to strengthen supply chain resilience and sustainability, there remains a significant theoretical gap in understanding how these technologies support supply chain viability during severe disruptions. The development of resilient, sustainable, and viable systems within manufacturing supply chains through these technologies is underexplored.
